About Emma Hollingsworth

A proud Kaanju, Kuku Ya'u, and Girramay woman from Far North Queensland, Emma creates bold, vibrant contemporary works from her studio in Meanjin (Brisbane) under her label Mulganai — meaning "morning star" in language. Her art celebrates Country, waterways, and the cultural stories that shape her identity.

Emma's work has caught the attention of some serious names. She has collaborated with Nike, HOKA, Swarovski, Peter Alexander, Myer, Budgy Smuggler, the Australian Defence Force, Life Apparel Co, and Australia Post, among others. In 2023 she released a homewares range with Myer and created her largest artwork to date for a major global brand. Her designs have been commissioned by the Queensland Government, Westfield Chermside, and organisations as far as London.

Her work has been exhibited at the Queensland Museum, Museum of Brisbane, AmBush Gallery in Canberra and Melbourne, and Lizard Island Resort.
